I've settled on a decent sensor that is a small improvement over the old design. Its the MLX75306. Prototype #1 was a kludge of an Arduino pro micro, breakout boards, and a messy perf board, but it replicated the existing design. The latest prototype #2 fits on the existing board real-estate. Some improvements so far:

Looking forward to the final product! I would love to use your sensor in my Filament Extruder Build. Its great that we have people in the community like you, who are bringing in high tech for the "normal consumer", for an price where we dont have to sell our kidney:D Comments are closed.
